About This Blog

Dear Sisters, Associates, and women in formation,

The SC Chapter 2015 Narrative Team welcomes you! As you know, we are working closely with the Chapter Planning Committee to develop a few narratives that will be the basis for our dreaming and discussion at our upcoming Chapter. The narratives will provide us with somewhat tangible possibilities for our future and therefore will be helpful in generating concrete, forward-moving dialogue. We want to continue to invite you to be a part of developing these scenarios that will help us create our preferred future together. This blog is one of several ways that you can contribute your input. We thought it would be helpful to offer a space where you can post your comments and read what others have to say. Of course, we invite respectful and loving responses. May the Holy Spirit enlighten our minds and enflame our hearts as we live into the bright, bold future of our wonderful congregation. Hazard yet Forward!

With excitement,

Carol, Suzanne, Mary Ann, Monica, Tracy, Louise, Montiel, Pat, and the entire Chapter Planning Committee

Moving forward!

The Narrative Team had our second meeting this past Saturday, November 22.  We had a great time together and felt all of your prayers guiding our conversation!

We reviewed the input you shared with us through the blog, by email, and in person and found ourselves in awe at the very profound reflection that had taken place both "internally" and "externally."  Throughout our day together, we worked and prayed with what had emerged to see how we might craft three bold scenarios of our possible future in 2025 and beyond.  By the end of the day and only through the inspiration of the Spirit, we had written three narratives.  These first drafts will be shared with the Chapter Planning Committee and the Leadership Team.

We as a Narrative Team will continue to pray and reflect with the narratives over the next month to see what we missed and what might need to be changed.  We'll revisit the narratives at our December meeting to flesh them out and polish them.  They'll be shared with all of you sometime in January.

In the meantime, we ask for your continued prayer, and we invite you to continue having conversations about where God might be inviting the Sisters of Charity in 2025.  Please share insights from your "external" conversations on the blog post from November 21st.

Hazard yet forward!
